Is there any difference between metadata over REC OUT SDI signal in P mode as oppose to PsF mode? Is REEL, clip number available on both types of outputs?
Thank you,

There should not be any difference in the metadata between either mode.  All those fields should be consistant.

I asked this question because whenever I change camera output to P signal then QTake operators are not getting REEL and TAKE information from camera. I was curious if camera is not sending that information or software is not reading it from P signal.
PsF signal seems to be working fine with current QTake software.

Are you feeding the QTake from the mon out or the rec out?

I was asking about REC Out in first post. I like REC OUT because it is clean signal that I can apply LUT to it I and I leave MON OUT for camera onboard monitor.

Mariusz,

The metadata stream should be the same for both P and PsF output but it could be that the QTake software or the hardware you are using to read the signal (Aja card) cannot read the metadata off of a P stream.

Just so you know, there is not quality difference between the P or PsF signal, just a difference in how the image is transmitted and displayed.  My suggestion would be to use the PsF output option and then query QTake about this issue.

I know there is no quality difference between P and PsF although P looks better on certain monitors. I forgot that I used Codex in P mode before and it was taking all metadata. Looks like definitely QTake software is not fully compatible yet with P signal.
Thank you for support.
