When I use the ARC to convert arriraw to dpx file, there are 2 options in the color space, What is the difference between the wide gamut and Film. It looks the optoin of camera native is the same as wide gamut.  Which one is the best for color grading in DI.

I use baselight to grade the arriraw file, the baselight also has 2 options, called Log C film and Log C wide gamut, but they are all look differenet with the Dpx which converted by ARC.

Thanks.

Harry,

You are correct.  The Wide Gamut and the camera native are the same.

The film selection should only be used if you are using your Alexa material to intercut with scanned film neg.  The film gamut was implemented to deliver consistency through a DI process where mixed source material was used, ie digital and film.

Therefore, your best choice is most likely wide gamut.
