online ups probably work for your problem, but you should calculate your power need.what are the equipments in your dit cart?

The Anton Bauer
CINE VCLX BATTERY
might not be a bad thing to have on set.....

I asume the Anton Bauer CINE VCLX BATTERY is meant for the camera and not for a DIT station?

I have a 1500VA UPS from APC (that's about 1000 W true power), it can backup power for about
15 to 20 min for my Mac Pro setup (about 350 W).

All the best,
Gerhard

One thing to bear in mind is that a cheaper UPS may not charge off a generator. They require a more stable mains supply than generators usually provide.
