Hi !

Had yesterday a testshoot with the new V6 firmware on an Alexa+. Sensor and Projectframerate was 24fps, shutter 172,8 degree.
When I switch the scan format from psf to p on the MON Out and REC Out, I see a strange flicker there. With psf it is fine...

anyone else ?

Rainer,

We haven't noticed this yet, but I will test your specific set up in the lab on Monday.  What was your lighting set up?

I checked it on an exterior shot as well without any lights and got the same effect. I will check on monday if it has something to do with the tvlogic pvm or it is a specific thing to this cam.

Michael, can you please post on the ARRI homepage in the download section a link to the actual sony sxs drivers which are supporting the 64gb cards as well.

thx

Rainer,

That's run by our IT and Marketing team out of Munich, but I will make the suggestion.  Do you need the driver now, I can send you a link.

Most monitors aren't capable to handle a true progressive HD-SDI signal, and can only work properly with a progressive segmented frame signal. I always advice our clients to put their monitor output signal in PsF.

Best Regards,

Vincent

A LCD/TFT SDI monitor should be capable of a p signal. PsF was only introduced by sony to be able to feed old interlaced only monitors or equipment which can't handle a p signal like rf-transmitters which reading only tv-standard signals.
The in my case used TVLOGIC VFM-056W is like nearly all other panels a multiformat one. See tec-spec here: http://www.tvlogic.tv/Monitors/M_Spec.asp?sidx=1
I had never problems using a p signal with them....
but I will see if its the monitor or the cam...

Michael, yes please send me the link to the actual working 64gb sxs drivers...

thx

Glad to hear that this is not an issue.  Please let me know if something changes.

Here's the driver link:
