Currently we are shooting in location. Alexa v5 hangs & not booting. Once camera boots it shows message 'Problem with file system: Update required.insert SD-Card with update package.'

Inserted SD-card which has software upgrade and yet unable to upgrade since in half way boot system hangs and shows the above message.

Need Arri people to respond ASAP.

gbalaji,

sorry for your trouble.
this forum is not intended for and not monitored for emergencies.
You can send an email to service@arri.com on Monday you should hear back from someone.
There is no service available on weekends.
It might be possible to remote into the camera - but if the camera is in some limbo state - this might not be an option.
You could try to upload the firmware over ethernet - if this fails it might have to be sent in.

good luck

True upgrading through SD card. After 10 minutes without any status bar camera says 'Starting update'

Gbalaji,

Guenter is correct about using this forum for service requests.  Please email service@arri.com or go to http://www.arri.de/contacts/technical_service_camera_di.html to find the appropriate phone number to call for your local service center.

Regards
Mike
