We have a problem with using autorecord on our Panasonic HMR 10 with the new upgrade on the Alexa. This used to work with the old version. Anyone experienced the same problem ?
Thanks,

Thanks for the heads up.   We'll check into the SDI Flag and see if there's anything going on here.

Regards and have a good weekend.

It has not been working since SUP 4.0.1.. Have tried going from SUP 5.0, BETA 5.0 and down to 4.0.1 with the same output settings. Have you found anything yet? We have a shoot coming up where it is necessary to auto rec on the HMR-10. Do you recommend downgrading to SUP 4.0.1 in this case?

So here is the skinny.

The Arri SDI remote implementation was never supported by Panasonic products, as evidenced by the lack of inclusion on their Auto REC verified camera list he: http://pro-av.panasonic.net/en/autorec/index.html.  Nor have we explicitly supported the Panasonic auto rec function either due to our own implementation of remote rec start/stop.

Therefore, Up until 5.0, it has been pure co-incidence that it worked.  If it is imperative for you to have this functionality, the you will have to downgrade, which we strongly suggest against.

In regards to the S.Two OB1, this needs the newest FW update to be compatible with Alexa 5.0 SDI start/stop.

Regards,
Mike

Why don't you just support it already?

All,

So we are trying to get the Panasonic Auto Rec support added into our SUP 6.0.  Regarding the OB1, I think that the version they have that works's with 5.0 is still in Beta.  I would contact them directly.

So the software you want to use with the OB1 is the 1004_04.

Please fix this fast in a update! Our clients are going crazy and actually chooses different camera because of this. It's not even working on PIX240 when the Arri SDI flag is enabled.

Do it now!!

Storyline,

We would prefer that you use your actual name in your posts as to facilitate transparency and accountability in our communications.  Also a modicum of civility would be appreciated in your posts.

Secondly, Have you contacted sound devices to find out which Arri Camera their SDI Flag triggers?  The user guide doesn't specify the model of Arri Camera nor the SDI protocol that they employ.

Regards
Mike
